Methyl Diglycol - 2(-2 Methoxyethoxy) Ethanol is a relatively non-volatile solvent and therefore it is included only in special lacquer formulations, principally nitrocellulose lacquers, to improve the properties of the lacquers. It can be stabilized with 2, 6-ditert-butyl-4-methylphenol (0.005%). Owning to its low volatility small quantity can be added to lacquer solutions.
